In Pamplona, tapas are called "pintxos". These tasty, unique small portions of seafood, vegetables, meat and pastries are served in bars on the streets that fan out from the Plaza del Castillo, the heart of Pamplona.
Biospain 2010 invites you to taste some of best local pintxos in the heart of Pamplona’s old quarter around the Plaza del Castillo. Many of the narrow lanes of Pamplona’s Historical Quarter stem off from this square. It is enveloped by houses mainly dating from the XVIII century with balconies, towers, penthouses and picture windows. Just off the east side of the square is Calle Estafeta, the epicenter of the famous Running of the Bulls.
Your invitation to exchange for free pintxos & drinks will be delivered together with your badge when you register.

On the Señorío de Gorraiz estate, at a beautiful location overlooking the city of Pamplona and just 4km. from the city centre, Gorraiz Castle rises majestic. A jewel of the XVI-century Navarrese palatial architecture, the building guards within its thick walls the secrets of numerous historical, cultural and religious events.
The Castle was built in the year 1512 by the knight Lanzarot of Gorraiz, a nobleman who fought in the armies of Emperor Charles V. The emperor himself and his wife, Empress Elizabeth, stayed at the castle.
It was at the beginning of the 20th century when the castle begun to be restored but it was in the year 1998 when the family Diez de Ulzurrun Goñi, with a long tradition in the hospitality industry, recovered the old palace to be used as one of the finest restaurants in the Pamplona area.
