Biobide will attend the V International Meeting on Biotechnology 2010 (Biospain)

Biobide S.L. will attend the 5th International Meeting on Biotechnology, Biospain 2010, organised by ASEBIO and SODENA, that is taking place in Pamplona from the 29th of September to the 1st of October 2010. Biobide will be present both in a booth and in partnering meetings.

Biobide is a biotech company which aim is to develop Taylor Made Solutions to maximize R+D productivity and minimize risks in the Drug Discovery process, integrating zebrafish animal model with innovative tools, adding value to their R+D+i mainly in the preclinical area (toxicology, safety and efficacy).

Zebrafish animal model presents important advantages as its high genetic homology with human (>85%), the easiness of manipulation as its wide utility (assays are carried out in a fast and cost-effective way). Moreover, it constitutes an innovative in vivo assay that offers tools, as our in house developed Hight throuput screening (HTS) technology, allowing massive and rapid standardized processes decreasing human errors.

Biobide has already developed different toxicity and efficacy Assays through zebrafish:

• · Toxicity Assays: Cardiotoxicity, Hepatotoxicity, Teratogenesis, Acute Toxicity, Otic Toxicity
• · Efficacy Assyas: Antiangiogenic assay, Central Nervous System Assays

On the other hand, importantly, Biobide offers the possibility of developing Taylor Made Solutions depending on our clients’ requirements. Moreover, both Target validation or disease model generation can be developed.
